   INSTALLATION


Navigation:






A. Camera alignment has to be parallel to the sideline (basketball and volleyball) or above the endline (volleyball).
B. Court has to be centered in the camera view. 
C. The phone securely mounted on a tripod, to a surface that will not vibrate during the game. 
D. The phone in the casing should be placed horizontally



1. Installation


             1.1. Casing parts

  1. Cooling fan
  2. Cylinder case
  3. Cylinder case lid
  4. Baseplate
  5. Holding Brackets
  6. Four bolts




           1.2. Assembling casing

  1. Place the cooling fan into the cylinder case.
  2. Attach base plate to cylinder case.
  3. Attach holding brackets to the base plate with four bolts.



  1. Place the phone into the cylinder case.
  2. Once all of the cables are connected, close casing with a lid.





               1.3. Connecting cables for the phone

Connect the cables as described in the list below:

  • Connect USB-C splitter to phone;
  • Connect microphone and phones power cable to USB-C splitter;
  • Connect cooling fan and power cable to double socket;
  • Clip the microphone to the cable;
  • Finally, plug in the power outlet.


2. Camera placement

Camera placement:

  • Phones need to be securely placed, on a surface, that will not vibrate during the game. 
  • There should be no objects in front of the camera. 
  • Fans should not be able to access the camera.

              2.1. Whole court visible

If the camera's field of view does not capture the full court (cuts off the corners, etc.:

  • Place this phone behind the court (where it makes sense, such as volleyball), OR
  • Use a phone with a wide-angle camera lens instead (such as a Huawei Honour 20)


              
                2.2. Clear field of vision

Check, if the field of vision is clear. Make sure that no spectators are able to step directly in front of the camera and no objects are covering the view.

               3.2. When venue DOES have internet 

Connect the cables as described in the list below:

  • Connect venues internet modem to "Edge router" via ethernet cable. Use the ETH0 port.
  • Connect "Edge router" to "Unifi POE­­­­­" via ethernet cable. Connect ETH4 port to LAN port. 
  • Connect "Unifi POE­­­­­" to "Unifi access point". Connect the PEO port to the Main port. 



               3.3. When venue DOESN'T have internet 


The 4G router will be used to provide internet for the phones during the stream. It will get the internet via SIM card. 


1. To prepare the router, first, insert a SIM card as shown in the picture. The correct SIM card orientation is shown in the picture. 

2. Attach 4G and Wi-Fi antennas. 

3. Use Ethernet cable and plug it into the LAN port.

                                                                                                                                                  


Connect the cables as described in the list below:

  • Connect "4G router" to "Unifi POE­­­­­" via ethernet cable. Connect LAN port to LAN port. 
  • Connect "Unifi POE­­­­­" to "Unifi access point". Connect the PEO port to the Main port. 


 Note: The access point must have a blue light on (see image below):


4. PRE-stream checklist

The phone needs to be connected to a charger throughout the whole stream. Don't rely on the battery. Before the stream, the phone has to be fully charged up to 100%.
The phone is connected to "GeniusLiveTV" Wi-Fi. For more information click HERE.
The phone microphone is plugged in. This is necessary to capture sound in the feed - the mobile phone's own microphone is not sufficient.
 The phone needs to be installed 24 hours before the start of the match:
  • Casing installed. 
  • The camera angle adjusted.
  • Phone calibrated. Regarding calibration, please contact our support team, via Skype: GeniusLive Implementation & Support (08:00 – 18:00).

Tips before a match:

  • Contact Genius Live Support on Skype 1 hour before the match so they can check the phone configuration and the view. 
  • Make sure that the batteries of the phones are at 100% when the stream starts.
  • Make sure the phone is connected to the charger all the time. Check the position of the camera.
  • Check the internet connection (must be connected to GeniusLive.TV)Make sure there is nothing obstructing the view.
  • Never update the Android version ( Keep it on Android 9)
